When you create an account, we collect:

Phone Number & SMS Consent

You may optionally provide your mobile phone number to receive SMS notifications from your group's AI coordinator, including check-in reminders, nudges, and event updates. Your phone number is collected only with your explicit consent when you enter it in the Members tab of your group.

Group & Membership Data

When you join or create a group, we collect information you provide, including:

  • Timezone and general location (if you choose to share it)
  • Available days and check-in preferences
  • Communication style and nudge preferences
  • Messages, files, and content you share within groups
  • Responses to onboarding questions set by group admins

Automatically Collected Data

We automatically collect basic usage data such as pages visited, browser type, and device information to maintain and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service, including AI-powered group coordination
  • Send email notifications: agent messages, event reminders, weekly digests, and inactive nudges
  • Send SMS/text messages: check-in reminders, event reminders, and nudges from your group's AI coordinator
  • Personalize your experience based on your preferences and group participation
  • Maintain security and prevent abuse
  • Improve the Service

3. SMS / Text Messaging Policy

A2P SMS Service Provider

Service Name: Together Group Coordination SMS

A2P Gateway Provider: Twilio Inc.

Message Classification: Transactional (account, group activity, and agent-initiated messages)

Affirmative Consent

By providing your phone number and opting in to SMS notifications, you affirmatively consent in writing to receive automated text messages from Together related to your group activity and AI agent coordination. This consent is provided voluntarily and is not a condition of using the Service — SMS features are entirely optional. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or removing your phone number from your account.

TCPA Notice: By opting in, you acknowledge and agree that Together may send SMS messages to the phone number you provide, even if that number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.

Message Types & Classification

You may receive the following types of transactional text messages:

  • Check-in reminders: Group-driven messages from your AI coordinator prompting check-ins on goal progress
  • Event reminders: Time-sensitive messages before scheduled group events, meetings, or milestone completions
  • Inactive nudges: Engagement reminders when you haven't participated in your group recently
  • Agent-initiated messages: Transactional messages from your group's AI agent related to accountability and coordination
  • Account notifications: Security alerts and account-related transactional messages (rare, only as needed)

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on your group's check-in schedule and activity level. Typical frequency is 1–5 messages per week, but may vary. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier's standard SMS charges. Together is not responsible for carrier charges. Contact your carrier for information about SMS charges on your plan.

Opt-Out Instructions (STOP)

You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation text message and no further SMS messages will be sent to that number unless you re-opt in. Opting out of SMS does not affect your account or access to the web platform.

You may also remove your phone number from your account settings or the Members tab of your group to prevent SMS messages.

Privacy & Data Protection

No third-party sharing: We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent data with any third parties, affiliates, or data brokers for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS provider only: Your phone number is shared only with Twilio Inc., our A2P SMS gateway provider, solely for the purpose of delivering transactional text messages you have consented to receive.

Secure handling: Your phone number is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is not displayed to other group members or stored in unencrypted logs.

Carrier & Regulatory Compliance

  • TCPA Compliance: Together complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and sends only transactional messages to opted-in recipients.
  • Carrier standards: Messages comply with carrier regulations and best practices for A2P SMS delivery.
  • National Do Not Call Registry: You acknowledge that Together may send transactional SMS messages to numbers registered on the National Do Not Call Registry.
  • No automated calls: Together does not use SMS for automated calls, artificial voices, or prerecorded messages.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform, including email delivery (Gmail API), SMS delivery (Twilio), AI inference, and hosting. These providers process data only on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy obligations.
  • Within your groups: Content you share in a group (messages, files, check-ins) is visible to other members of that group and the group's AI coordinator, subject to the group's sensitivity level settings.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Security & Retention

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Email preferences: Manage email notification categories (agent emails, event reminders, weekly digest, inactive nudges) or unsubscribe from all non-transactional emails.
  • SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any text message or remove your phone number from your profile.
  • Data access & deletion: Contact us to request a copy of your data or to delete your account.
  • Location data: Location sharing is optional and can be skipped or changed at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
