Types of Messages You May Receive
Together sends the following types of transactional SMS messages:
- •Check-in reminders: Notifications from your group's AI coordinator reminding you to check in on your goals
- •Event reminders: Notifications before scheduled group events, meetings, or milestones
- •Inactive nudges: Gentle reminders if you haven't engaged with your group recently
- •Agent-initiated messages: Messages from your group's AI coordinator related to group coordination and accountability
- •Account notifications: Security and account-related messages (rare, only as needed)
How Users Opt In
SMS consent is always voluntary and opt-in:
- During group join: When you join a group, you may optionally provide your phone number in the Members tab. SMS is off by default.
- In account settings: You can add or remove your phone number from your group profile at any time.
- No pre-checked boxes: We do not use pre-checked checkboxes or trick users into SMS. Opting in requires explicit action.
- Consent is not required: SMS features are entirely optional. You can use Together fully without providing a phone number.
Message Frequency & Data Rates
Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your group's check-in schedule and activity level. Most users receive 1–5 SMS messages per week, but this may vary based on your group's goals and your engagement.
Data & Messaging Rates
Standard carrier rates may apply. Message and data rates depend on your mobile phone plan and carrier. Carriers typically charge according to your standard SMS plan. We recommend checking with your carrier regarding any potential charges.
How to Opt Out & Get Help
Stop All SMS Messages
Reply STOP to any text message from Together. You will receive a confirmation message, and no further SMS messages will be sent to that number unless you re-opt in.

Remove Phone Number
You can remove your phone number from your group profile at any time in the Members tab. This will prevent further SMS messages and is the same as opting out.
Your Phone Number & Data Protection
Your mobile phone number is handled with care:
- •Never sold or shared: We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
- •Secure transmission: Your phone number is transmitted securely and stored encrypted.
- •SMS delivery only: Your phone number is shared only with Twilio (our SMS provider) for the sole purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.
- •No SMS content sharing: Your SMS opt-in status and phone number are not shared with your group members.
